I've played an Alembic custom (small standard, short-scale, three piece maple neck, maple topped, elan electronic) for the last twelve years.

Someone was asking what Alembic means. It means distillery. More specifically the still that an alchemist uses to turn led into gold. Stanley Clarke, John Paul Jones, John Entwistle, Phil Lesh, Jason Newsted, Mark King, John McVie, are all notable Alembic players.
