Haha, yeah, I'ma youngin'. It sounds like you and him would get along. Very nice, though, maybe in 30 years I'll be able to play that much. Haha.

Yeah I know what you mean. That's right though, Cairo Syrupmaker class of '09. I love rock and metal, I don't listen to much else (from Steve Miller to Mastodon). Well except for listening to my step-dad play blue grass (he plays guitar and mandolin). But yeah, I played with one group for a while, but it split and I just kept playing on my own.

That's pretty impressive though, especially sticking with so many instruments. I thought the drumming comment pretty funny as well. Haha. Playing the bass though is one of life's great pleasures in my mind. What instruments did you play in all of the bands you were in and for how long?

Hey man, yeah that's awesome. I'm from Cairo, GA, it's near the border of Florida like forty minutes away from Tallahasee. Haha, and I was born in Macon, my dad still lives there, great area.

New to bass and blogs

I've been playing bass only a short while, but I'm liking it more and more. I have even started to play with a thrown together band on Saturday nights.

I started playing guitar in 1988 but only got serious around 2002. Then I started playing a lot. After a while of playing guitar I got a mandolin. Then a harmonica and a banjo. Then dobro. And finally a bass. I'm self taught on all of the aforementioned instruments.

I've played in a few bands but nothing really big.
